Performance Tuning

Tuning your Linux system can result in better performance and reduce unnecessary usage of system resources such as CPU cycles and memory. Tuning a Linux system for various purposes is highly dependent upon the circumstances and the objectives you have for the tuning process.

This section of the DataBook® for Linux Administrators provides you with guidance for performing specific tuning tasks. It is your responsibility to determine whether those tasks are what is required for your particular circumstances.
